Go Code Girl

From healthcare to finance, entertainment to transportation, computer science is quickly becoming the backbone of innovation and advancement in our everyday lives. Come find out why an increasing number of women and non-binary folks are choosing computer science as their path to an exciting career that offers academic challenge, and the opportunity to make a transformative impact on our world. Go Code Girl offers girls and non-binary youth in grades 7-10 the chance to delve into the world of coding through a series of introductory hands-on activities. Led by women undergraduate students, learn more about computer science through fundamental topics such as loops, binary systems, and AI. Note: Students will need to bring their own laptop (and charger) and their own lunch.

WISE X AMD Panels & Networking Event

Join WISE and AMD for an informative panel speaker session! The 6 speakers comprised of experienced professionals and current interns who have all studied at UofT are eager to share their experiences in the field of computer, software, and electrical engineering. The session is aimed towards women in STEM, but students from all disciplines are welcome. A networking session will take place after the engaging panel, so be sure to come prepared with questions for the panellists and recruiters, particularly about working at AMD and internship opportunities. The annual WISE International Women's Day Gala commemorates the incredible achievements of women and is a day of unity, celebration, reflection, and advocacy. This year's gala has a theme of "Changemake-HERs", highlighting the "Changemake-HERs" who are actively reshaping the narrative and challenging societal norms.
